I’m a rubber-stamping fanatic so I was delighted when I was perusing my friend Tammy’s “I Can Craft” site to find these wonderful Faux Wax Seals and Aluminum Stamps!  Remember the old days when letters were sealed with a family signet stamp into a beautiful blob of wax…so elegant and classy.  Now you can do the same, and it’s so much easier.  These faux wax pieces work with a heat gun, so you get precision placement for the perfect look….and the colors are fabulous!

But, it’s not just for sealing envelopes anymore.  Imagine embellishing a beautiful hand-stamped card with a faux medallion in gold or pearl?  What a gorgeous touch to a vintage scrapbook page…giving depth and texture to your page…use the neutral tones or pick a color that matches a color in your photo.

And of course, you can transport yourself back to the days of yore and seal those invitations, thank you notes and precious notes of love to your husband and kids with them as well.  Or what about a classic touch to a wedding card or baby shower gift? Just avoid posting these through the mail as the postal machines will likely destroy them in the process!

What a great way to encourage your children in the fine art of letter writing.  They’ll love stamping the seals on their envelopes so much that they’ll be begging you to write letters to grandma and grandpa!  Check out Tammy’s site at http://www.icancraft.com/reps/siahsmom/ then click on shop and on Seals and Stamps.

Give them a try.  Let me know what you think!
