Great Evening

Whoever said money can't buy happiness, didn't know what they were talking about!  When money is tight it is scrimp and stretch the almighty dollar as much as one can.  One of the things I just kept putting off since oh like January was getting my hair done. Not just cut, but no color either. I had about 2 -3 inches of the motley, mousy brown with gray showing and I was looking pretty haggard!

I got lucky Friday and got caught up with my pay and still working extra OT, so I deserved to get my hair done.  Yesterday I got it colored a pretty chestnut brown (with reddish tones) and got a few chunk blond highlights put in at the top.  Took 10 years off my age as far as looks go, and that made me feel GOOD!

Then Stac had a banquet last night for school and hub put on his black shirt, dress slacks and had recently gotten a haircut himself.  He hadn't looked that handsome in I don't remember.  I looked great with my new hairdo and makeup (which I just hardly ever wear anymore) and Stac of course looked like her beautiful self.

Some great feelings came flooding back last evening.  Couldn't wait to get home to plant a passionate kiss on my hub. That light headed, anticipation I thought had long since passed after being married close to 8 years...so it took me by surprise.  It was a night I will not soon forget.

So there, money at least in this instance, did buy happiness...

Stac got some recognitition which was well deserved.  So glad she made the lieutenant spot so she can be in that elite group of the best leaders in the squad.

Time to get on with my day. Since it is Sunday, maybe I'll watch a few movies since I got done my work yesterday. :)

Mortgage Frenzy...

Had a gal email me yesterday asking me questions as to her chances of mortgage approval.  She was told about a pre-underwriting approval at a level of 1. After asking a few things, turns out she is suppose to close next week and was still clueless as to whether she was even formally approved!
My response? Ask your loan officer!  They are working for you!

....after sending that response I started thinking...well maybe the loan officer is working for the company they represent and not for the borrower, which is exactly the reason I founded abcmortgage.net

because actually, loan officers are REALLY working for themselves...they are looking at that commission check.  Well guess what people?  You won't make the commission if the loan doesn't CLOSE.   Every loan officer out there should be taught a lesson in etiquette, empathy and communication!

I felt bad that this poor gal is suppose to have settlement next week and still was uncertain.  The thing that is really a shame though?...it is all too common!

If you have questions, go to my website and click on the phone Icon. Yes, my advice costs money, but it pales in comparison to the stakes of losing out on a mortgage or paying way too much in junk fees.   Folks wonder why I charge for my services.  Well, do you do your job for free?  I am not a loan officer. I'm not hanging my hat on my commission.  I am providing advice based on years of knowledge and experience that I possess....isn't that worth under 2 bucks a minute?   You decide.
