I just love Grey's Anatomy

Probably my most favorite program this year is Grey's Anatomy and here's why.  When I look at the clock after what seems like 15 minutes, there is only 10 more minutes to the show! It goes that fast for me!  Must be the narration that Grey's character interjects through out the program.  I just love that show!

Okay, pretty pathetic. The enjoyment I get out of a television program.  Hey, I'm easily entertained.  I don't need to go here and there and spend a lot of money somewhere to feel like I have a life.  Life is just what I make of it and I can be just as satisfied as I choose to be with how it is without the need to compare or conform .

I am one of the lucky ones who can work at home, earn a decent living doing it, and sit outside on my back porch when I need to take 5 or 10 minutes to drink in the warm weather or play my guitar to my audience out in the woods.  I've got plenty to keep me busy when I want to be and when I get too lazy these things will nag at me until I start being busy again. I was going to do some writing (of articles) this weekend and that didn't happen.

But I did get a nice hair cut, watched a funny yet heartwarming movie with Stacey "Uncle Buck", managed to get some cleaning done and played my guitar this afternoon while waiting to pick up Stacey from her date.  Steve and I talked about the possibilities of opening up a small shop for his fine art wood burnings and turning into a coffee shop at night so we could do gigs and we could sing the few songs that we do together. We called up Danielle and the 3 of us sang Happy Birthday to her and she seemed to be having a happy day!   Overall a pretty good weekend.   Danielle!

It rained today!

Normally I would be depressed when it rains because I'm one of those people that truly is affected by the weather outside. But we have needed rain so badly since November that it was a welcome change.  It really poured this morning when Stacey and I went to get our hair cut.  But it didn't really matter to me since my hair is so super short it wasn't like I had to worry about it getting wet.  The gal that cut my hair does a great job even though this was only the 2nd time I've gone to her.  She actually cut the edge of my ear today though which I didn't realize and she didn't either until I was starting to walk away and she stopped me and asked if she cut me.  Then put her towel on my ear and then I saw the blood.  It wasn't real bad or anything.  I held a tissue to it.  I guess she felt really bad because when she finished with Stacey's cut which turned out really cute, she said she wasn't charging me for my cut at all.  I didn't insist since she felt so bad about it.  She said it is the first time she cut anyone in the 15 years she's done hair! Go figure I was the lucky one.

The rest of the day I really wasn't on the computer that much which is so not me!  I didn't feel that great though and wasn't in the mood to do much of anything.  I have to get some things done around here tomorrow for sure.  Also want to get a mortgage article written and maybe a HomePartyNetwork ezine done.

Tomorrow Danielle turns 18 !  I hope she is feeling well enough to enjoy her day!!

TGIF

Yeahhh it is Friday!  Not that I don't do some sort of work on the weekends too as I'm sure many other women do that leave all the house chores go during the week.  Actually Steve did dust and vaccum and mop the kitchen floor for me this week which is wonderful!  So that just leaves the bathrooms, laundry and groceries.

I don't know why but I've grown to hate going grocery shopping. It isn't that I'm not prepared for it because there is always a menu for the week made out before I go. I guess it is just looking for everything although I'm getting to know the HEB around here pretty well and the best time to go on Sundays when I Don't hit all the church crowds. And it is pretty cool being able to buy beer and wine at the stores around here. Back in PA that'd be another two trips somewhere. A beer distributor and a spirits store for the wine.  So I guess I shouldn't be complaining huh.

I am going to straighten out this office too.  If I keep up with it every weekend it helps. I tend to pile up a lot of stacks of papers during the week and don't bother putting things in their place because I'm pretty mentally exhausted by the time my day is over.

I need to start looking for some spring festivals to attend to sell my lavender love products and lia sophia jewelry again.  I haven't done hardly anything since Christmas and I really love both companies.  If anyone happens to be reading this and wants a sample of lavender love or a lia sophia catalog, feel free to email me.

I need to work on a newsletter for HomePartyNetwork and should really write some articles for my mortgage ezine that has been inactive for a while now.  There's always more work for me to do, but I need to take some time to relax, play my guitar and sing (to my pretend audience) this weekend too.

Oh man...

I was just updating my website before hitting the sack and I noticed that a new company I had signed up for 'friendship bears' is already out of business!  That was fast!  So chock that one up to...what happened??   Another link deleted.  Well it isn't like I'm not already stretched as thin as an old rubber band...you know the kind that have cracks in them they are so stretched!

Oh My

I spent time adding links and playing with the layout of this blog, so I don't really have time to write much today.  I did get a few things at work ironed out which made the day go a bit smoother than it has been.

Oh I am so excited for Steve!  He finally found a store that was not only interested in his fine wood burned art,  but wants to feature his work for an entire month in March!  He is sending out mailers to his clients and told Steve it would even be in the paper!  This may be the big break that he needs!  He is so very talented and he deserves to do well with it!

Bye for now.

Hump Day

Another day another dollar.  At least it is Hump Day. Woo Hoo!

I can't believe my little baby is going to be 18 in 4 days.  She better not get any tattoos! :)   It is really hard to let go of our kids although I don't remember when I turned 18 feeling like I had any new found freedoms.  I was to prgrammed to respecting my parents and doing the right things all the time. Oh wait...I remember I did get my ears pierced for the first time when I was 18 in college because my mom was really against it.  So I guess the first piercing from back in the 70's equates to a first tattoo when a kid turns 18 nowadays right?  Well I know a lot get them younger than that so maybe I should be thankful I've been able to be an influence up to this point!

I am damn proud of my kids as I'm sure a lot of folks are.  They have never given me a bunch of trouble about anything and the stories I hear about other parent's plight..make mine look like absolute angels!  Thank you God for wonderful offspring!! :)

I've decided I've found my favorite lia sophia piece.  I'm so glad that I am a lia sophia saleslady so that I can get to see what is coming out this spring first!!  If anyone wants a Spring catalog, let me know.

Oh it is time to get to bed so I can start all over again tomorrow.

I just realized

I just went in the kitchen to take one of my salmon oil supplements and reached up to the top shelf of the cabinet to get it.  As I pulled the bottle down it dawned on me that I no longer have little kids around the house.  There is no earthly reason why I have to still keep things way up high and out of reach.  Took me long enough to realize that one!

Today was a stressful day of work. Thank GOD I at least work from home.  I love being in the mortgage field, but sometimes LO's can really be a pain!  I seem to be the only one who really cares.  Also with the new year brings more work piled on. Have to force myself to stop and take a breather for lunch.

I'm really excited about our Partypetshop biz  and how we have already filled the founding members slots for California!  Woo hoo!  The more the word spreads, the more chance that PartyPetShop will become the online place to shop for pets.  That would be a wonderful thing. We'll have to see how it all goes.

American Idol is entertaining as it always is. I can't believe some of the people on there that actually seem geniunely surprised that they don't MAKE it to Hollywood.  PLLEEAASEE!  Too bad they didn't have something like this when I was young enough...although I don't know that I would have had the guts.  That reminds me I haven't pulled out my guitar since right after Christmas.  I'll make a point of playing this weekend.

Diane\'s Diary-ah

Yes it was intentional!  I like to keep a sense of humor about everything, especially my life!

Anyone who knows me would say, are you nuts??  Why I'm just a mother, wife, owner of 4 furkids, owner of ABCMortgage.net , ShopAroundtheFleas, TheMommall, Wahmportal,  Co-owner of of PartyPetShop and HomePartyNetwork.com as well as am a Lia Sophia Advisor, Lavender Love Consultant, and some other bizs that I belong to but don't get much time to promote.
Luckily I got smart last year and put all on an easy to remember website DianeStJames.com

And I also do mortgage work full-time from home using my fully functional home office :)
I even was lucky enough to get on the cover, yes the COVER of USA Today newspapers, quoted on the Wall Street Journal, and MSN.com and also appeared on CNBC Cable news! Woo hoo!!  I guess I should say YEHAWWW...since we moved to Texas from PA back in August.

I swore when we moved here I'd work less and relax more, but that just isn't happening and I know why....
...that just isn't me!!

My family is pretty used to it you might say although occasionally I hear how I'm on this
computer way to much!! My eyes also complain to me because every time I'm on my computer
too much I get Dry Eyes really bad...

It was the worst though about 2 1/2 years ago when my eyes hurt so bad I went to the
eye doctor about it! Worried that I had some degenerative eye disorder...I was relieved to
hear it was just a bad case of dry eyes! My eye doctor described why it hurt me so much
every time I blinked very well to me.  It is like trying to use your windshield wipers
without turning on the washer fluid..screech...scratch....  OHHHH I get it.
Did you know people who are on their computers a lot tend to stare at their screens
and do not blink like they normally would?

Well it is Saturday evening and I better hightail it off this blog and go spend time with the family.
Wonder if there is anything good on TV.

Me
